  1. Find out what your motherboard manufacturer and model is. You can find this out using "System Information", just type this in the start menu.

  2. Log down the entries for:

    1. Baseboard Manufacturer

    2. Baseboard Product

    3. BIOS Version/Date

  3. Have a USB formatted in FAT32, this can be done using Rufus ()

  4. Find the latest non-beta bios of your motherboard using the information from (2) and place it extracted on your USB.

    1. Please read through the notes of the previous BIOS updates briefly to check whether they may have dropped support for your CPU, this can happen for Ryzen 1st and 2nd gen to give space for later generations.

  5. Restart into BIOS

  6. Reset all to defaults (just in case)

  7. Update your BIOS with the file (DO NOT TOUCH POWER, LET IT FINISH)

    1. It will auto-reboot for you
